2.10.4 Fresh Water Requirement           

The water balance indicted that the major demand of process water in sugar plant is met by recovered vapor condensate. The additional requirement of fresh water after complete utilization of vapour condensate is given below.

2.11   PROVISIONS FOR POLLUTION MONITORING AND CONTROL

In order to counter air pollution due to boilers, Factory proposes to construct a chimney of 6.6 M diameter up to 90 M height to ensure proper disposal of SO2 and NOx. The cost for the above has been estimated and included in the project cost. Factory also plans to install air pollution control devices like cyclone, ESP and venturi scrubber. Factory has planned to monitor gaseous emissions.
