Moreover, (CAIL) has approached various financial institutions like Maharashtra Government State Cooperative Bank, District Cooperative Bank, Pune District Cosmos Bank, Pune and APEX bank.
All these banks have Prima facie agreed to give financial support of around Rs. 125 crore to (CAIL). The extent of financial participation of various institutions (cooperative & commercial banks) would be finalized in consultation with NABARD and the concerned agencies.

The sugar factories have the environmental impacts due to the bagasse and molasses disposal problems. However, the distilleries set-up in conjunction with the sugar factories has reduced to certain extent the molasses disposal, but waste water problem remain unsolved.
With the increase in population, industrialisation and urbanisation in India, particularly in Maharashtra, the demand of electricity has increased multi fold. However, the existing growth rate of power generation is not able to meet the demand, leading to power shortage. The power shortage resulted in loss of agriculture and industrial production and therefore has an impact on GPD of India.
With the depleting natural fuel resources and world wide environmental awareness for its conservation, Government of India is concentrating on non-conventional fuel resources for generating power instead of conventional fuels. It has also come out with several initiatives and tax concessions for non-
conventional energy related projects.
