2.1     STATUS OF PROJECT

2.1.1   Vis-a-vis Government Regulations Compliance

(CAIL) received a letter of intent from Government of India for establishing 2500 TPD sugar manufacturing plant vide LOI no. F No. 10 (15) / 97 -IP Ministry of Industry Policy and Promotion press note no. 6/12 letter of Intent granted for new units of sugar validity period regarding.

(CAIL) is a public limited company incorporated under the indian Companies Act 1956. ( No.1 of 1956) and that the company is limited vide no. U31101/MH2001/PLC133127.


2.1.2   Vis-a-vis Studies Undertaken

The (CAIL) assigned the responsibility of carrying out techno-economic feasibility and preparation of detailed project report (DPR) in respect of the proposed 30 MW co-generation power plant to the MITCON Consultancy Services Ltd.

MITCON team complied data / information from the (CAIL) and also from Maharashtra Government Rajya Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Sangh Ltd., Pune, Commissioner of Sugar, Pune, Indian Mills Association (Export and Import Corporation), Irrigation, Agriculture, GSDA and Cooperation Departments of Maharashtra Government Govemment, Joint Director of Sugar, ADCCB, Department of Statistics and other related agencies. MITCON. team collected relevant documents as were made available to team by the (CAIL) in respect of purchase of land, licenses issued, availability of water, power, Memorandum Articles of Association, The assessment of biomass generation was completed by interaction of MITCON team with prominent sugarcane growers. On the basis of scrutiny of various information, data reports, documents pertaining to Government and Non-Government offices, examination of soil and agro-climatic reports, rainfall and other meteorological data, discussions with various officials
